Great news! Johan Östling has received a prestigious prolongation of his Wallenberg Academy Fellow Grant for the new five years (2024–2029), funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
In short, this means two things. Firstly, he can continue to develop the history of knowledge and LUCK, including our seminar series, visiting fellowship programme and summer school.
Secondly, he will launch a new research programme on the Europeanisation of European universities, c. 1985–2010. Directed the analytical lens towards universities located across the continent, the Europeanisation processes will be analysed from a history of knowledge perspective. In addition, the project aims to contribute to the general development within the field of the history of knowledge by studying how a specific institution—universities—underwent internal transformations. (More information on this new project will follow.)
Congratulations, Johan!
