In March 2026, we are delighted to welcome Isak Hammar and Kajsa Weber as the new deputy directors of LUCK. They succeed Anna Nilsson Hammar and David Larsson Heidenblad. Johan Östling remains the director.
Isak Hammar and Kajsa Weber, who have long been part of LUCK’s inner circle, will work alongside Johan Östling to lead and develop the organisation’s activities in the coming years:
“Joining the leadership of LUCK and working closely with Kajsa and Johan is going to be a lot of fun,” says Isak. “It’s a great opportunity and LUCK is such a well-oiled machine. I particularly look forward to working on the focus area History of the humanities, which I feel benefited greatly from our two recent conferences in Lund. Hopefully, we can continue to build our international networks in this as well as our other focus areas.”
Kajsa continues: “I’m delighted to be the new deputy director of LUCK and look forward to working with Johan and Isak. Over the next three years, I especially hope to develop our new focus area, Early Modern Knowledge Practices. I also see our programme for visiting scholars and the summer school as central to LUCK’s work.”
More information about LUCK’s focus areas and future activities will be published in due course.
