In September, the new project “The Europeanisation of the Universities: Transforming Knowledge Institutions from within, c. 1985-2010” was launched. Lead by Johan Östling, a research team will in the years to come analyse how a number of universities in different parts of Europe underwent processes of Europeanisation from the mid-1980s and what these transformations entailed. The research team current includes Karl Haikola and Maria Simonsen, but additional people will be added to the group.
