Johan Östling and David Larsson Heidenblad’s book The History of Knowledge (Cambridge University Press) provides a general introduction to the history of knowledge as a new international field, including the main concepts, theories, methods and research directions. Particular emphasis is placed on analyses of knowledge in society and in people’s lives. To a large extent, the book stems from the research and teaching carried out by the authors at LUCK in recent years.
